Our Weqas Annual Conference will be hosted at the Hilton Hotel in Cardiff on the 2nd and 3rd December 2015.

This year, our underlying theme is “Medical Errors” a “hot topic” brought to the attention of the wider public by the media spotlight and social media. Accordingly, we have devised our programme around this theme, with guest speakers kindly sharing their own insights into clinical developments to improve patient outcomes. Scientific seminars will include: Clinical effectiveness and impact of laboratory tests; Integrating human factors in healthcare;  The POCT Vision for NHS England, discussing the benefits, pitfalls, connectivity and new developments to minimise human errors. Our meeting will also hold interactive sessions for report interpretation,  discuss new scheme developments (e.g. Immunosuppressants  and D-Dimer) as well providing education and training (e.g. Traceability Outcome/ Uncertainty) to assist you with your compliance to ISO 15189.
