Bilirubin

The Bilirubin Programme is available as part of a comprehensive suite of programmes for the Clinical Laboratory to cover all of its basic core tests. These include:
Serum Chemistry, Urine Chemistry, ED Toxicology, Lipids, Bilirubin and Serum Indices.

Bilirubin

Four serum samples supplied in plastic amber vials are distributed every month.  The base material is “off the clot” human serum from which 12 linear pools are prepared,  a batch is typically distributed over nine months. EQA material  is commutable and is therefore suitable for Point of Care testing, suitable for analysis on PoCT Blood Gas analysers.  This programme accommodates both neonatal and adult reference and pathological ranges in the one programme, as well as distribution of challenging samples at clinical decision levels.
