WEQAS is now registered with United Kingdom Accreditation Services (UKAS) for compliance with conformity assessment - General requirements for proficiency testing (ISO/CASCO 17043:2010). Accreditation status - recommended for accreditation.
Samples are distributed to participants on a regular basis, and a window of between two and three weeks, depending on scheme, is allowed for analysis of samples and submission of results. All schemes provide a comprehensive statistical report following processing of a distribution's returns. The report is designed to give a clear picture of a laboratory's performance, to highlight any potential problem areas, and to provide sufficient information to identify types of errors and assist in choosing corrective action.
